The PRB name stands for reliable information in the service of the health and well-being of the world's people. PRB believes that communication is a key tool in achieving its mission.
Population Bulletin
PRB's Population Bulletin, published since 1945, has successfully transitioned from a highly regarded print publication to an equally sought-after online resource. Each Bulletin, published quarterly and written by experts in the field, provides in-depth coverage of either a major U.S. or international population issue. Bulletins are widely used by professors, students, policymakers, and the media.
PRB Website
When PRB launched www.prb.org in the mid-1990s, we believed our website should offer visitors a rich and newsworthy stock of content, covering both U.S. and international demographic trends; and that we should appeal to many audiences, including students, teachers, researchers, and journalists. We are gratified by our success.
PRB's website is your first stop for population information. You can read excerpts or full text of many PRB publications, search across the websites for information tailored to your needs, and create customized data tables by using DataFinder.
Information Services
Our information services team handles thousands of information requests via phone, e-mail, and regular mail. Our requests come from a variety of sources: the media, other nongovernmental organizations, educators and researchers, students, and U.S. government agencies.
